Exciting opera roles await Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artist Yuriy Mynenko in the 2026/27 season.
From 11 October 2026, the internationally sought-after countertenor sings the title role in Handel’s Ottone in a new production at Oper Frankfurt. Conducted by Václav Luks and directed by Jetske Mijnssen, Yuriy Mynenko can be heard in eight performances through 21 November 2026.
Yuriy already knows the role of Ottone well: he performed it to great acclaim at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe as part of the International Handel Festival.
Immediately afterwards, his schedule takes him to the Staatsoper Hamburg, where he returns to the stage as Ratmir in Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila. The revival, with four performances from 29 November to 10 December 2026, is conducted by Azim Karimov, in a production by Alexandra Szemerédy and Magdolna Parditka.
Two more signature roles follow in spring 2027. From 9 to 25 April 2027, Yuriy Mynenko sings Goffredo in Handel’s Rinaldo in a new production at MusikTheater an der Wien, directed by Nadja Loschky and conducted by Francesco Corti.
Finally, on 5 and 6 June 2027, Yuriy returns to the Handel Festival Halle as Aci in Porpora’s Polifemo, a role he has already recorded for a CD on the Parnassus Arts Productions label. The production is directed by Max Emanuel Cencic and conducted by Markellos Chryssicos.
Once again, major roles and important engagements await Yuriy Mynenko in the 2026/27 season.
