On Sunday, September 15, 2024, the fifth edition of the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival successfully concluded. 5,000 visitors from all over the world attended the two staged opera productions, seven concerts, and many other exquisite events in the Baroque city of Bayreuth. Two internationally renowned Baroque ensembles, Les Talens Lyriques under Christophe Rousset and Il Pomo d’Oro under Francesco Corti, were engaged to accompany the festival from September 5 to 15, 2024. We are delighted to present the concert performance of Handel’s grandiose opera Flavio on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 19:00 in Hall E of the Museumsquartier, which has been sold out for weeks, as part of the Musiktheater an der Wien. As in the premiere series at Bayreuth Baroque 2023, the musical direction of this excavation will be in the experienced hands of Benjamin Bayl, who will lead Concerto Köln with his proven high quality.
