Sophie Junker’s New Album Is Out Now!
Franco-Belgian soprano Sophie Junker, celebrated for her captivating interpretations of Baroque repertoire, just release her latest album, La Serenissima: Venetian Silhouettes, under the Aparté label. This recording, also featuring {oh!} Orkiestra conducted by Martyna Pastuszka, is a showcase of exceptional artistry and deep connection to Baroque music.
In 2020, Junker unveiled her debut solo album, La Francesina: Handel’s Nightingale, also with Aparté. This tribute to Handel’s muse, Élisabeth Duparc, known as “La Francesina,” featured arias composed for the soprano during the composer’s later years.
