Our Parnassus Arts Productions artist, Sorin COLIBAN (bass), has been performing the roles of the Shadow and Father Augustin in Sergei Prokofiev’s rarely performed opera The Betrothal in a Monastery since its premiere on March 26, 2025, marking his second collaboration with the Musiktheater an der Wien. The performances, directed by Damiano Michieletto and conducted by Dmitry Matvienko, will take place for Sorin Coliban on March 31 (today), April 2, 5, 7, and 9, 2025.Read More

Dennis Orellana won the first Farinelli Competition in Karlsruhe

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Parnassus Arts Productions’ exclusive artist, Dennis Orellana (male soprano), won the first edition of the Farinelli Competition for countertenors, newly founded by opera director Christoph von Bernuth.

As part of the 47th International Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, the world’s first singing competition for countertenors was held at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe: For the 1st Farinelli Competition for countertenors, in honor of the most famous singer of this category, nearly 50 singers applied, of whom 23 presented themselves before a prestigious five-member jury in the first internal preliminary round. Sonja Runje as Farnace (Mitridate re di Ponto) at the Opéra de Lausanne

Our outstanding contralto and Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artist, Sonja Runje, will perform the role of Farnace in Mozart’s opera Mitridate re di Ponto at the Opéra de Lausanne starting February 23, 2025. In total, four performances are scheduled on February 23, 25, 28, and March 2, 2025, in a production directed by Emmanuelle Bastet and conducted by Andreas Spering.

Since February 7, 2025, Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artist Daniel Behle has been performing the title role of Idomeneo at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.
