Since November 10, 2024, the wonderful and versatile Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artist Stefan Sbonnik has been performing the role of Oronte in the new production of Alcina at the Bonn Opera. Under the direction of Jens Daniel Herzog and the musical leadership of Dorothee Oberlinger, further performances of Alcina featuring Stefan Sbonnik are scheduled at the Bonn Opera on November 23 and 30, 2024; December 8, 20, and 25, 2024; and January 12, 18, 25, and 31, 2025.
In December 2024, Stefan Sbonnik will perform the same role of Oronte in concert with Il Pomo d’Oro under the direction of Francesco Corti at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Teatro Real Madrid (both house debuts), and the Musiktheater an der Wien. In January 2025, alongside his commitments with Alcina, he will also give several solo concerts with repertoire including the St. John Passion and Messiah, standard repertoire for Stefan Sbonnik.
In recent months and years, Stefan Sbonnik has performed roles including Tamino (The Magic Flute), Tempo (Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno), Elijah, Mitridate (Mitridate, re di Ponto), St. Matthew Passion, Ugone (Flavio), The Seasons, Ernando (Il Venceslao), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), and The Creation, among others.
