From 16 January 2026, three outstanding Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artists will appear in the new production of Griselda (opera by Antonio Vivaldi) at Bühnen Wuppertal. Sonja Runje performs the title role of Griselda, Lidor Ram Mesika appears as Ottone, and Rinnat Moriah interprets Costanza. Performances run until 8 March 2026, under the musical direction of Yorgos Ziavras and staging by Mathilda du Tillieul McNicol.
Sonja Runje (contralto) has already appeared this season as Antigono (Mitridate Eupatore) at the Auditorio Nacional Madrid and the Palau de la Música Barcelona, as well as Teodata (Flavio) at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Kölner Philharmonie. Highlights of her recent seasons include Bradamante (Orlando Furioso) at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, the title role in Giulio Cesare at Oper Köln, Griselda (Bononcini) at Musiktheater an der Wien, and Farnace (Mitridate re di Ponto) at the Opéra de Lausanne.
Lidor Ram Mesika (countertenor) launches his international countertenor career with the role of Ottone at Bühnen Wuppertal. Upcoming engagements include Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, where he will also appear in a Countertenor Gala on 2 March 2026, and the title role in Flavio at Staatstheater Meiningen.
Rinnat Moriah has appeared in recent seasons in roles such as Valencienne at Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Waldvogel, Pamina, Zerbinetta and Musette at Oper Dortmund, Narea (Polifemo) at Musiktheater an der Wien, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and Staatstheater Wiesbaden, as well as Käpt’n Flughörnchen (Die Blaue Sau) at Oper Bonn. She will cover Zerbinetta at the Glyndebourne Festival in summer 2026 and will subsequently sing Idaspe (Tamerlano) at MüPa Budapest.
