On 5 December, Max Emanuel Cencic presented the 2026 edition of Bayreuth Baroque, announcing a major new production of Handel’s Floridante. Directed by Max Emanuel Cencic with musical direction by Markellos Chryssicos, the work will be staged in the Margravial Opera House, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s finest Baroque theatres.
The production features Max Emanuel Cencic as Floridante, Eva Zalenga as Rossane, Sonja Runje as Elmira, Bruno de Sá as Timante, Pavel Kudinov as Oronte, and Yannis François as Coralbo, performing with the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra.
