The 2026 musical journey of Max Emanuel Cencic begins on January 30 with a solo concert at the Royal Opera of Versailles. Together with oh! Orkiestra under the direction of Martyna Pastuszka, Max presents a refined selection of arias by the master composers Georg Friedrich Händel, Antonio Vivaldi and Nicola Antonio Porpora. With this very brilliant program, Max Emanuel Cencic will go on tour in 2027 to celebrate his 45th anniversary on stage.
A great deal of Handel is on the artist’s calendar for 2026! In March 2026, Max will appear as Tolomeo (Giulio Cesare) at the Oper Zürich alongside Cecilia Bartoli, in a production by Davide Livermore and under the musical direction ofGianluca Capuano.
Max is also preparing two title roles: Radamisto and Floridante. Radamisto will be presented as a new production during a concert tour in June 2026, with Max in the title role at the Händelfestspiele Halle, and will also be shown, among other venues, at the MusikTheater an der Wien at the end of 2026.
Floridante will be staged as a new scenic production in September at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, again with Max in the title role. Markellos Chryssicos will conduct, the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra will perform, and Max Emanuel Cencic himself will direct. Floridante is a co-production with a major German state theatre.
In autumn 2026, Max Emanuel Cencic returns as Guido in the opera Flavio, in a production directed by Max Emanuel Cencic.
Three of his own stage productions will be shown this year:
