The Bayreuth Baroque new production Flavio, Re de’ Langobardi by G.F. Handel from 2023, directed by Max Emanuel Cencic, has been taken over by the Latvijas Nacionālā Opera un Balets in Riga. The premiere will take place on May 21, 2025, in Riga, with further performances on May 23, June 1, and December 17, 19, and 21, 2025. As in Bayreuth, the role of Flavio will be performed by Rémy Brès-Feuillet (who will return to Bayreuth for his solo concert on September 6, 2025). The role of Guido will be sung by the artistic director of the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival, Max Emanuel Cencic.
