Exciting engagements await Sonja Runje in the 2023/24 season, which is all about George F. Handel. Sonja will interpret the title role of Amadigi at the Handel Festival Halle and the role of Teodata in Flavio at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival and at the Musiktheater an der Wien. As Erenice in Caldara's Il Venceslao Sonja will perform at the Tage der Alten Musik Herne and at the Eufomia Festival Warsaw, as Angelo di Giustizia in Galuppi's Adamo at the Musiktheater an der Wien and at the Musiikkitalo Helsinki, and in the alto part of Messiah sometimes at the Nederlandse Reisopera. Sonja will sing the part of Bradamante in Vivaldi's Orlando Furioso in Bayreuth.

Sonja Runje regularly works with renowned conductors such as George Petrou, Christian Curnyn, Ruben Dubrovsky, Benjamin Bayl, Martyna Pastuszka and Aapo Hakkinen.
Sonja Runje graduated with honors from the Academy of Music at the University of Zagreb with a master's degree in opera singing under Martina Gojčeta Silić. She is currently working regularly with Eva Blahova in Bratislava.
