Jake Arditti as Nerone in L’Incoronazione di Poppea

Jake Arditti will portray Nerone in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea, with premiere on April 5, and more performances on April 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 29, and early May 2025. 

Conducted by Mónica Pustilnik and directed by Ted Huffman, this production, featuring Cappella Mediterranea, will tour multiple venues across the Netherlands, including Wilminktheater (Enschede), Stadsschouwburg Groningen, and Amsterdam’s prestigious Carré Theater.

Sophie Junker’s New Album Is Out Now!

Franco-Belgian soprano Sophie Junker, celebrated for her captivating interpretations of Baroque repertoire, just release her latest album, La Serenissima: Venetian Silhouettes, under the Aparté label. This recording, also featuring {oh!} Orkiestra conducted by Martyna Pastuszka, is a showcase of exceptional artistry and deep connection to Baroque music.

In 2020, Junker unveiled her debut solo album, La Francesina: Handel’s Nightingale, also with Aparté. This tribute to Handel’s muse, Élisabeth Duparc, known as “La Francesina,” featured arias composed for the soprano during the composer’s later years. The album was met with critical acclaim, earning an International Classical Music Award and the Trophée Forum-Opéra.Read More

Daniel Behle as Siegmund (Die Walküre) in Valencia

On April 4, 2025, Parnassus exclusive artist Daniel Behle will make his debut as Siegmund (Die Walküre) at the Palau de la Música in Valencia. Daniel’s long-awaited role debut as Siegmund will take place in a concert performance conducted by Alexander Liebreich with the ORQUESTRA de Valencia.

Starting in May 2025, Daniel will continue to develop his well-established Mozart-Wagner repertoire mix.

He will perform Mozart repertoire in May and July 2025 as Ferrando (Così fan tutte) at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, and in August 2025 as Soliman (Zanaida) at the Salzburg Festival.Read More

Dennis Orellana won the first Farinelli Competition in Karlsruhe

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, Parnassus Arts Productions’ exclusive artist, Dennis Orellana (male soprano), won the first edition of the Farinelli Competition for countertenors, newly founded by opera director Christoph von Bernuth.

As part of the 47th International Handel Festival in Karlsruhe, the world’s first singing competition for countertenors was held at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe: For the 1st Farinelli Competition for countertenors, in honor of the most famous singer of this category, nearly 50 singers applied, of whom 23 presented themselves before a prestigious five-member jury in the first internal preliminary round. The final, broadcast live, was a great success for our Dennis Orellana, to whom we extend our heartfelt congratulations!Read More

Maayan Licht was awarded the best newcomer of 2025 at the Oper! Awards

On Friday, February 21, 2025, the annual Oper! Awards took place in Brussels, where Parnassus Arts Productions exclusive artist, Maayan Licht (sopranist), was named Best Young Singer of 2025. The jury chairman, Manuel Brug, stated in his speech at the Theatre La Monnaie that the award was granted due to Maayan’s sensational performance at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival as Achilles in the new production of Iphigenia in Aulis (directed by Max Emanuel Cencic; musical direction by Christophe Rousset). A great success for Maayan Licht, to whom we extend our heartfelt congratulations!
