ACTUALITÉ

Standing ovations, repetition of the final choir, standing ovations again, and applause - was the audience's reaction to our performance of Griselda (opera by Giovanni Bononcini) on 30 April, 2022, at the Narodowo Forum Muzyki in Wroclaw.
The opera has not been shown since 1733, so it was a kind of World premiere that our excellent cast brought onto stage: Wanda Franek (as Griselda), Max Emanuel Cencic (as Gualtiero), Sreten Manojlovic (as Rambaldo), Dennis Orellana (as Ernesto) and Johanna Rosa Falkinger (as Almirena), accompanied by the great Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Bayl, and with new recitatives composed by Dragan Karolić.
Griselda, rediscovered by Max Emanuel Cencic, will be performed again on Sunday, 18 September, 2022, starting at 3 p.m., at the Markgräfliches Opernhaus as part of the Bayreuth Baroque festival.
