I am pleased to announce that my young exclusive artist, Sreten MANOJLOVIC (bass baritone), debuted as Figaro in the new production of Le Nozze di Figaro at Theater Aachen on October 30th 2022. Changmin Chung and Mathis Groß alternately conduct the production and Mario Corradi staged the opera. There are 13 performances in all and Sreten Manojlovic will sing the role of Figaro in Aachen until March 15, 2023.

Known for his rich rich vocal color, great coloratura and stage presence that steals the show from everyone else, Sreten Manojlovic is currently making a name for himself in the opera houses of Europe at a rapid pace. His strong bass-baritone voice conveys not only power, but also expressiveness and agility, making him ideally suited for baroque roles and in the classical repertoire.

In 2022 Sreten sang roles such as Polyphemus in Acis and Galathea conducted by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Pierre Audi at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam (October 2022), Erode in San Giovanni Battista at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival (September 2022), the bass-baritone part in Handel's L'Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato conducted by William Christie at the Lanaudiere Festival (July 2022), Berlin Philharmonie, Auditorio Madrid, and Barbican Center (March 2022), Astolfo in Orlando Furioso conducted by George Petrou at the Klangvokalmusikfestival Dortmund (June 2022), Guglielmo in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte at the Wietzow Festival (July 2022), Rambaldo in Bononcini's Griselda at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival (September 2022) and at the concerthouse Wroclaw (April 2022), just to name a few.

Further appearances in the 2022/2023 season include roles such as Gelone in Cesti's Orontea at Theater Aachen (from 5th February 2023), the role of Simon in Haydn's The Seasons under the direction of William Christie at the Paris Philharmonie, Victoria Halle Geneva, Casino Bern and Tonhalle Zürich (March 2023), the title role of Polifemo in Porpora's opera of the same name under George Petrou at the Theater an der Wien, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden (May 2023), Eutifronte in Henneberg's Der Stein der Weisen at the Mozart Festival Würzburg (June 2023) and many more.
