18.11.2021

The end of the year and the beginning of 2022 are rather exciting for our exclusive artist Benjamin Bayl. He will conduct the Aarhus Symfoniorkester on the 18th November in Aarhus and 20th November in Viborg. The program will include Rautuvaara‘s Concerto for Birds (electronic tape) & Orchestra, Respighi‘s Gli uccelli and arias by Handel, Purcell, and Dowland.

On 27th November 2021, Benjamin  will premiere Rameau’s Castor et Pollux at the Opera Kameralna in Warsaw. The opera will be shown twice more until the 30th November 2021. On 16th and 17th December, Benjamin Bayl will conduct the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in Singapore’s Esplanade Concert Hall with works by Torelli, Makarome, Wong and Tchaikovsky. Following the Singapore concerts, he will start rehearsals for a new production of Vivaldi's Juditha Triumphans at the Stuttgart Opera. The oratorio will premiere on 16th January 2022 and performances will run until 12th  March 2022. Other highlights in Benjamin Bayl's 2022 calendar are Purcell’s The Fairy Queen at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest in March andApril, Bononcini‘s Griselda, which has been rediscovered after 300 years, in the Narodowe Forum Muzyki in Wroclaw and in the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth, and Serse in the summer opera production in San Diego.
