Benjamin Bayl conducts a new production of Die Zauberflöte
Parnassus exclusive artist Benjamin Bayl conducts a new production of Die Zauberflöte with the opera Zuid in Maastricht. Premiere is on 8 November 2019 and until 8 December 2019, a total of 14 performances are given throughout the Netherlands and Belgium: Groningen, Eindhoven, Turnhout, Tilburg, Breda, Utrecht, Heerlen, Terneuzen, ‘s Hertogenbosch, Sittard, The Hague and Rotterdam.
The past few seasons, Benjamin Bayl has made successful debuts with many outstanding orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, the Bochumer Symphoniker, the Britten Sinfonia, the Netherlands Youth Orchestra, the Haydnorchester Bolzano and the Orchestra Filharmonica di Torino. Together with numerous Scandinavian symphony orchestras, he conducted a broad range of the Viennese Classical, Baroque and Romantic repertoire as well as new commissioned works. He is often invited to conduct the great oratorios of Bach, Handel, Mozart and Haydn.
Benjamin Bayl also conducted many opera productions such as Don Giovanni in Oslo, La Calisto and Partenope in San Diego, Candide in Vienna, La Clemenza di Tito and Armide in Warsaw, Cosi Fan Tutte in Budapest, Warsaw, Copenhagen and Cartagena, The Fairy Queen in Budapest and Berlin plus Fatima at the Vienna State Opera to name a few.
Upcoming engagements in the coming seasons are Don Giovanni at the Norrlandsoperan, Death in Venice in Zagreb plus various concerts in Aachen, Oviedo, Bratislava, Wroclaw, London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Glyndebourne and more to come.
