Exultation/jubilation for La Donna del Lago on 24 May in Wiesbaden

30.05.2019

With great enthusiasm the performance of La Donna del Lago, arranged by Parnassus Arts Productions, was received in Wiesbaden's Staatstheater, which has been sold out weeks prior.

On 24 May, 2019, Max Emanuel Cencic's highly acclaimed, opulent and romantic staging of Rossini's opera La Donna del Lago as part of this year's Maifestspiele at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden was shown.
M. E. Cencic not only directed the production, but also sang the role of Malcolm - which was performed for the first time on a German stage by a man.
George Petrou conducted the orchestra.
The role of Umberto / Giacomo was sung by one of the best tenors of our time, Daniel Behle. Nian Wang (replacing Lena Belkina) interpreted Elena, Antonio Gares Rodrigo, Neven Palecek Douglas, Sonja Runje Albina, and Ivo Gamulin and Niksa Radovanovic Serano and Bertram.
