Standing ovations for Porpora in Moscow and Halle

19.06.2018

Commemorating the 250th anniversary of Nicola Antonio Porpora's death, Max Emanuel Cencic continued his series of solo concerts with his program Porpora Opera Arias in Moscow and Halle.
On 28 May, the exceptional artist sang in Moscow's Tchaikovsky Hall, and on 8 June in Handel's birthplace, Halle.
In Moscow, he performed arias by Porpora, accompanied by the Russian orchestra Musica Viva under the baton of Alexander Rudin, whereas in Halle it was works by the two rivals Porpora and Handel, accompanied by Armonia Atenea conducted by George Petrou.
Both concerts were sold out, their performances extensively applauded, and Max Emanuel Cencic honoured with standing ovations.
