Standing ovations for Gismondo, re di Polonia in Dortmund

08.10.2021

Standing ovations and applause lasting for 15 min was the audience's reaction to our performance of Gismondo, re di Polonia (by Leonardo Vinci) on October 3rd, 2021, as part of the Klangvokal Festival in Dortmund's Konzerthaus. Shortened to 2 hours and 20 minutes, the opera was sung by an outstanding cast of singers consisting of Max Emanuel Cencic (Gismondo), Yuriy Mynenko (Otone), Sophie Junker (Cunegonda), Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk (Primislao), Jake Arditti (Ernesto), Hasnaa Bennani (Giuditta), and Nicholas Tamagna (Ermano),  accompanied by the magnificent orchestra {oh!} Orkiestra Historyczna.
This concert was supported by the Instytut Adama Mickiewicza and cofinanced by the Polish ministery of Culture, National Heritage and Sports.
